Maverick Supports & Services, Inc., an affiliate of the nationally recognized FRP/GRP engineering company, Maverick Applied Science, Inc., is a pipe support and field service company. Similarly, Maverick Supports & Services focuses on FRP/GRP applications for the power utilities, chemical process, pulp and paper and a multitude of other heavy industries. We provide pipe supports specifically designed for the needs and requirements of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP/GRP) piping. Our field service consists of a highly talented group of engineers and quality assurance (QA) inspection managers, who provide inspection support for plant end-users in verifying quality compliance of shop fabrication and field construction activities.

POWER INDUSTRY

Kentucky Utilities, KY – Design and supply of pipe supports for 16”-60” dia. FRP piping for an FGD absorber recycle system retrofit.

Georgia Power Company, GA – Developed an FRP quality assurance program for plant site and provided resident FRP inspection services to observe and document project compliance of field fabrication of large diameter vertically wound FRP shells for scrubbers and chimney liners.

Alabama Power Company, AL – Developed an FRP quality assurance program for plant site and provided resident FRP inspection services to observe and document project compliance of field fabrication of large diameter vertically wound FRP shells for scrubbers and chimney liners.

Tennessee Valley Authority, Widows Creek, AL – Design and supply of pipe supports for 10”-54” dia. FRP piping for an FGD absorber recycle system retrofit.

Florida Power Corporation, FL – Design and site quality assurance during installation of Seawater Circulation and Distribution System for 36 cell forced cooling tower, 10” to 108” diameter FRP piping. O-Ring Gasketed joint system design for main distribution piping.

PULP & PAPER INDUSTRY

Buckeye Technologies – Developed specifications and quality assurance program for mill, including providing QA inspection services during relining of CLO2 Storage tanks.

New Construction

We are pleased to announce the opening of the new facility for Maverick Applied Science and Maverick Supports & Services in Palmetto, FL.

The state of the art building utilizes Green Construction with foam form concrete walls projected to provide an R50 insulation rating and wind resistance up to 130 mph. The 6,800 square foot building includes office spacing to expand our engineering group as needed as well as laboratory space to conduct inhouse material testing. It also includes a spacious conference room capable of holding interactive meetings with a 52 inch wired in monitor for presentations and teleconferencing.
